Origins of Evil

Since i was little i had been told stories about the first three genesis but i never really realized that this was how evil came into this world. When i first heard about these stories i thought the specific apple they ate was poisonous and had evil in it as the snake was tempting Adam and Eve to eat it. But Christians believe that evil came into this earth as a punishment for disobeying God.
Each wordle represents the main ideas and words in each chapter, each chapter the main words get darker and more evil each wordle.

Genesis 1 ; This wordle shows the main words as, light, God, day, sky, according, and other happy bright words, that are mainly discussed in the first genesis. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, in the first day he made darkness and light to be separated and named them day and night. The second day he made the and ocean all in just six days he also made plants, trees, an fruit to grow on the land, he made stars in night sky,  every kind of sea creature and winged birds, to fly through the land, he made wild animals and creatures according to there kinds, he made everything. But the very last thing he made was something in his own image he called mankind, there were men and there were women. He told them to increase in number, to over power the  fish in the sea and the animals on the land. This chapter shows how god created the earth, he had not yet created humans.

Genesis 2; This wordle shows not so bright colors or words, it shows the progression of each wordle getting darker.  The main words being lord, man, god earth and ground, these words represent humanity and mankind's relationship with God. Chapter two explains that after all gods work after the six days, he rested on the seventh day. Then god formed a man, he created a garden called the Garden Of Eden and put the man in the garden, the garden had trees filled with fruit that Adam ( the man god had made ) could eat, but god specifically told Adam NOT to eat from the forbidden tree as it was the knowledge of good and evil. Adam got lonely and god made a women to keep him company and work in the Garden Of Eden with him, they were both naked and not shamed. This chapter shows the creation of mankind and how God gives them rules that they must follow.

Genesis 3; This chapter shows great darkness. the main words in the wordle shown are God, woman, garden, tree, eat and lord. In this chapter Adam and Eve disobey God, and have to deal with the consequences, in this chapter the serpent is a representation of evil. In this chapter the serpent persuades Adam and Eve to eat the fruit off the forbidden tree and as it is tempting and looks pleasant, ignoring gods commands they eat the fruit. They realise there naked so they made coverings for themselves. He got very angry at Adam and Eve and made them have  horrible consequences. This chapter shows evil taking over the good.

Each chapter changed from bright and happiness to darkness and bad as evil started to come into the world. God made all of us with a free will , so that we could pick between good and evil and deal with whatever consequences that we had to face. In these three chapters of genesis there shows Adam and Eve ( mankind ) being tempted and giving in to the sign of evil, but as they did this they made consequences for themselves and the rest of mankind as they have a free will, which means they can choose between either good or evil, but evil deceived Eve and told her to eat the apple which made her give in to the evil and face the consequences.
In the last genesis it shows a great amount of temptation. Temptation is what evil uses to make mankind think what we are doing is worth it. Temptation is what had made Eve eat the fruit of the forbidden tree that he had been commanded not to eat. Temptation can be to a great level which makes you ignore the rules and do what you are tempted by. Temptation can be a type of evil as it turns you away from the good and makes you tempted by the evil and having to face the consequences that you have made for yourself and mankind. As in chapter three it shows even tho the fruit might look delicious and tempting it takes great consequences as they were doomed by god and they disobeyed him.
Temptation relates to good and evil as it shows a sign of evil, as it makes you do something you don't necessarily want or need to do, giving into temptation shows your free will and how you are created to do whatever you want, it shows  you giving into evil and having to face the consequences. connecting with the garden of Eden, temptation played a big role in the sign of evil. Even if the serpent hadn't of convinced her the temptation of the delicious looking fruit would have made her eat the forbidden fruit. If she had of obeyed gods rules and not of even gone to the tree it would represent good and we wouldn't be living with the consequences.
This has made me understand good and evil much better as this story not only shows good and evil itself but how it came to be on this Earth, it has helped me realize that doing something that is bad is done by temptation as there will be consequences for the evil things you do and temptation overpowers the thought of consequences. The three chapters of genesis have helped me come to know more about good and evil, knowing that even tho we have a free will to believe in god or not and respect and obey god or believe in evil, every good thing we do will turn out with a positive outcome, yet evil things will have terrible outcomes, especially disobeying gods orders.
